IT'S NOT "BACKING UP A TRAILER" HARD.
I specialize in helping farmers, ranchers and rural small town entrepreneurs learn to build better websites for their small businesses.
Whether you're ready to build a brand new website or you just want to learn to make the one you have right now better, I can help.
On this website you'll find free resources, helpful blog posts, customizable Showit website templates and information about one-on-one help with your website.
Finding a website template that has a rural focus.
Working with a web designer and waiting for them to get back to you.
Having a website that looks like everyone else's.
Figuring out what content to put on your website.
Needing to make changes and not knowing how.
I get it.
I know that building and managing a website for your farm, ranch or rural small business can be difficult and feel like a burden and not a blessing. I know it can feel like "one more thing" on your already never-ending to-do list.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
If any of these sound familiar to you, you're not alone. Lots of entrepreneurs have these common struggles, but you can take back control of your website and turn it into a strong tool for growing your rural small business.
Don't let the "tech" of building or improving your own website intimidate you. With a little education, a little time and maybe even a little one-on-one help, you can take back control and build a better website for your small business.
It's not backing up a trailer, pulling a calf in a snowstorm, keeping goats from breaking out or sorting pairs with your dad hard.
Trust me! You've got this.
Running a small business isn't easy.
You work hard.
Your website should too.
It should be a strong tool for growing your rural small business. And you shouldn't give control of it over to someone else.

Growing up in agriculture on my family's cattle ranch (we raise Black Angus with a little bit of Simmental) in far Northern California has given me a love for both business and ag. It's also taught me the importance and value of doing things well, working hard and being creative.
As a web designer, I've built countless websites for my many businesses and for clients. One of the most important things I've learned about websites... they can make or break whether you even get the opportunity to serve a potential customer.
Your website is often the first (or sometimes the only) impression of your business. When your website is hard to navigate, out-of-date or just plain old boring... it's not a good experience for your website visitors and it reflects poorly on your brand that you've worked hard to build.
I also know that website design can be really intimidating and time consuming. A lot of business owners don't think they have time to learn to customize or maintain their website... but I think it's one of the best things you can do for your business.
When this happens (or if it's already happened to you) you'll find it takes a lot more time and resources to rebuild than it takes to learn to build, grow and maintain it yourself.
I want to help empower, enable and encourage you to learn to customize and maintain your own website. A good website is a valuable resource for any business and it should be a useful tool and an asset for your farm, ranch or rural small business.
Handing over your website to a designer might feel like the best thing to do. And in some cases, for some people and some businesses - it is the best thing. But what happens if your web designer decides to go to nursing school and closes their business? What about when you want to make a small change to your website but you have no idea how to even login?
You've handed over the keys to a big part of your business and you don't have a spare key!
